Between the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, celebrating the holidays, and getting our priorities straight for 2021, things are still stressful as ever.
With January 2021 not far out of reach, now is the perfect time to wrap up in your coziest blanket and treat yo' self to some serious self-care.
There’s no doubt that 2020 has been an overwhelming shock for the museum field. At this point, it seems only repetitive to state that museums have experienced a global pandemic, public reckoning in response to the Black Lives Matter movement, a devastating economic downturn, and the looming issue of climate change.
As the difficult, uncertain 2020 year comes to an end, and the dust (hopefully) begins to settle, we decided to take a look back on the multitude of topics we’ve covered and the many conversations we’ve had across the WestMuse Blog.
From professional development, to community engagement, to lists of virtual holiday festivities and everything in between, we’ve written on numerous topics throughout the year. And although some were written months ago, who knows, there still might be something useful to be found.
Change up your strategy, build up your patience, and remain optimistic.
